SO MANY THINGS REVEALED!

I haven't updated the blog in a lonnnnng time. Apologies! I've been super busy with work and kids...and also League Challenges and collecting CP and all those fun things. So, get ready to sit in for a long one as I go over several bits of Pokemon News that I've gotten over the past few weeks. As you may or may not know Pokemon news was busting at the seams at E3. My Twitter feed was going off all day. Fist thing is first, POKEMON SUN AND MOON NEWS. Recently, it was announced at E3 that there are several new mechanics to the games such as the new Battle Royal format. It's a sort of timed 4 player free for all, similar in looks to that of Hungry, Hungry Hippos.

While everyone anxiously waits to try out this new battle format with their friends...I think all the competitive players know how this will ACTUALLY play out:

Jokes aside, there was also the revelation of new Alola Pokemon! Who wouldn't be hyped about that? There's Pikipek, a woodpecker inspired Normal/Flying type (Because they roll a new one out EVERY gen! GET USED TO IT!), Yungoos the Normal type mongoose , and Grubbin the...well....looks like a grub-obviously the Caterpie of Gen 7.

As if official new Pokemon reveals weren't enough, we've been getting hit all week with CoroCoro scans. The Koala looking dude is Nekkoala (Japanese name), a Normal-type Pokemon with the brand new ability called "Definite Sleep." Definite Sleep is rumored to make it to where the only status move Nekkoala could be affected by is sleep. That means no poison, burn, freeze, or confusion. DAMN.

The other Pokemon is Iwanko the rock type dog Pokemon. Yep...a ROCK DOG. That's a new one. Iwanko is said to have the abilities "Keen Eye" or "Vital Spirit".

ON TOP OF ALL THAT....there were also new forms for both Solgaleo and Lunaala announced. At first glance, these look similar to the alternate forms given to Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus. I could only speculate that these forms are probably going to revolve around lunar cycles or time of day or Sun/Moon related held items. We're not quite sure of the mechanics of these forms or their effects....but hey, WE HAVE PICTURES, RIGHT?! LET ME SHOW YOU:

I am excited for the future of Pokemon. This has been the best year to be a Pokemon fan, and I have to say I'm enjoying the constant thrill ride that is #Pokemon20. Be on the look out for more...because if things keep moving the way they have been...we'll probably be surprised every day.
