Latias is U.S. Bound...

This week in Pokemon GO, we saw the last bit of Latios in the US raids, and then as of today, May 8- Latios switched places with Latias in Europe/Asia. The two are fairly similar in stats and movepool except that Latias has much higher DEF and doesn't know/learn Solar Beam. Whew!

You still need approximately 6-7 people of average level to fight a Latias. (Higher the level and skill of the participants, the less you will need- does that need to be said anymore?) Latias' strongest charge attack is considered to be it's "Psychic" move, coming in at a nice 48.93DPS w/ 2.8s STAB. It's suggested to T-Tar the crap outta these guys, naturally. Make sure to use a Tyranitar with the Bite/Crunch moveset to hit that Psychic typing for a wicked 140% Dark weakness. Other great counters would include the gold standard attackers like Mewtwo, Mew, Rayquaza, Dragonite, Gyarados, Salamence, and Articuno. Keep in mind that Latias gets a sweet little weather boost when its windy out but also suffers a x140% weakness to moves of the following types: Bug, Dark, Ghost, Fairy, Dragon, and Ice. That means you could even use many lower tier Pokemon such as Houndoom, Lapras, Cloyster, Wigglytuff, Gengar, Jynx, and Scizor if you don't have many of the more desirable attackers left to fight. Latias will be in US Raid rotation until June 5, 2018.
